For You a Thousand Times Over !!!

The Kite Runner is a very touching novel by Khaled Hosseni. Yes, it is by an Afgan writer who migrated to the USA. The story is about post-war Afghanistan, less the Taliban and stuff. The story is depicted vividly, with its detail of Afgan culture and celebrations. The most prominent is the kite fighting competition. We are also taken back to how Afghanistan would actually look like before the war and fighting.

It is a story that takes me back, down memory lane, the two characters Hassan and Amir are like a reflection of Me and my best friend. However their friendship is very troubled and unique at the same time. Thus it is appropriate that the whole plot focuses on the conflict between these to individuals. Their joyous time together are a reminder of my own time with my friends, going around the neighborhood and painting it red (ok,that did not happen).

The main turning point of the plot is a secret !!!!. You have to read it to find out. So for all you people out there, please buy this book. It is a very wonderful book that is worth the the time reading. One of my favourite quotes from the novel is where Hassan said to Amir, "For you, a thousand times over", it is such a power sentence, with such simple words.

I killed a little yellow bird....

This is NOT animal cruelty, I feel sad doing it k, plus it was just an accident. As I was driving along the KESAS highway my spead was like 100 mph, and turning in to the overhead brige that leads to the LDP highway. I saw this bright yelllow bird flying. Then it begin to fly lower and lower, and suddenly it was right in-font of my path. NO !!!. Then BANG !. OK is was not that loud, but maybe more of a THUD. OH the horror. Was it dead ? The bird hit my left-side of the car. Hopefully it survived. But then my bro told me that the bird was lying on the road, and there was two cars behind me. HMMM..... let me do the maths. The odd of the little bird surviving, not good. Why !!!!.......?????

FOOD !!!!

Last night I was invited to my uncle and aunt's silver anniversary dinner. The food was very nice. It was held in this restaurant, not a fancy one though, just an ordinary one, with some extraordinary food in Rawang. Here are some eye-watering treats for you. Enjoy !!

The first dish was the four seasons. It has the "pak but", some char siew, salad chicken with orange and slices of mango, and finally peas with scallop.

The second dish is shark-fin. Yum !!

The third dish was steam pak chong. It was not that nice cause the meat was kinda hard when it should be smooth

The fourth dish is beggar chicken. The soup was very yummy.

The fifth dish is pig's foreleg. Its nice as I kinda enjoy the nuts and mushroom in it.

The sixth dish is broccoli with lotus root. Its kinda normal, nothing special about it.

The dessert was white fungus with sweet potatoes. Its nice, but I don't rally like sweet potatoes.

From OHR to PF

It finally passed !. The Organisation & Human Resource was justas wat the lecturer said. Chapters 1, 2, 9 and 10 came out for the essay, plus the chapter on motivation did not come out. So I should be glad 'bout that. But it makes you wonder, is justifiable that those who got A for this paper are actually those who studied and are passionate about OHR, instead of just following tips and study the so called spotted chapters only. Hmm?.

By the way, what has passed has passed, thus we must move on.:-). So the next exam will be Principles Of Finance. So it's time for me to put on my thinking cap and get to work. Haha.
Well I hope to do well also. So all the best to you all DAC students !!

Exams !, Exams ! and more exams

Exams !, Exams ! and more exams, yup people, exam fever has hit my college, the exams are just this week. Well for me I've got to deal with only; as it's my short semester. Its Organization & Human Resource, OHR for short, this Thursday. Well I hope i can get good results as its a quite "easy" subject, well it depends lar!!. I've studied 4 chapters today, so its 11 or maybe 10 more in the next 3 days.

So I've got a lot of ground to cover, but hopefully I can get it done, plus some research and a dash of past year papers. Well this is my recipe for tackling this paper. Fingers-crossed for "AVERAGE" paper; easy is no "FUN", but neither is "HARD".

Well thats all from me for now, but I'll be back. I kinda slack a bit in this blog business. Wakaka..thats all - BYZ

My Tiramisu Cake

A tiramisu,
of chocolate and coffee,
and cream,
caught between layers of sponge.

The sweetness of joy,
that is the brown chocolate
with the bitter chocolate,

How wonderful it is,
that the taste complement,
To make it bitter sweet,
With topping to go.

The Passion

Our journey it is also,
From birth to Calvary,
Carrying a moral burden,
While being mock by many,
Crowned with the thorns of society.

But like him,
We're not alone.
For we meet some Simon,
and some John;
to carry our burden.

We are nailed by materials,
To die with our belief,
Like Him,
For it is our passion.

Like him,
We have a job;
To our Father,
As he had not forsaken us,
Nor dammed us,
To the Romans.

For we'll be with him,
After Calvary,
And through judgment,
And through time,
For that is the passion.

Election Fever ...

Yes, after 4 years of waiting, the general election finally here. Though various parties have been campaigning for almost 2 weeks, it all boils down to the D-day that is the 8th of March. We have seen heated arguments about who is the best, who can do their job well and most of all see who beats who in where via the tv that will reaches into the wee hours of the morning.

Well for me, it started as a usual day, nothing much in particular. Its just another routine Saturday. Well the highlight would be going down to KL, to follow my Dad to vote. After that, he brought us to his old hang-out place which serve a delicious portion of pork chop and butter cakes. The pork chop is served with a thick brown onion sauce with fried potato wedges. Absolutely delicious. Well then its back to Sri Petaling, to kick my sis and bro ass in Risk. wahaha.

So, though Barisan lost like "hell", but its time for them to buck-up, the results on Saturday night really proves it, its time to "BUCK-UP". Yes, I watch the results show, it was intersting though. My family was able to watch the Prof of Political Science be cut-off from speaking by the STAR editor and the head of women's right. It was funny to see him speak at the same time his voice was liken the old headmaster that would not stop talking after maybe a millenia. So on that I night I slept at around 2 something. BIG mistake though. The following day, I suffered a headache. Well, that was my day in the General Election.

A door opens,
To a world beyond,
Seeing things that,
Have not seen before.

How often it leads,
To unexpected things,
To sound experience,
That is out of norm.

As we open a door,
Open the heart and soul,
To new things,
That awaits us.

Err....

The calm before the storm,
Is scary with silence.
Of what is to come,
Is an eerie peace.
A darken sky,
Of a midnight afternoon.

Clouds are weary,
With burden of theirs,
Slowly trudging,
In an eternity sky.
Waiting for a moment,
Of a forever second.

Light flashes from heaven,
And they cry,
Of a wrathful sadness,
And drumming of the rain
,
Soon its over,
A rainbow is a promise,
of this.

P.S I Love You

Ok so yesterday was Valentine's Day. So as love was in the air I decided to buy the best-seller of few weeks called P.S I love You by Cecelia Ahern. It was a nice romantic fiction novel, that is different from other books.

What set it a part ? For one thing the nice feeling that your loved one who has died is still looking out for you even though he/she has moved on (died). That is what happens to the main charac, Holly. Her husband Gerry( yes it's a G not J), died from a brain tumor, at first glance it maybe your typical feel-good-love-romance novel, but it isn't, the way Cecilia, weave into the plot the emotions of love, loss, and friendship seems to really connect to me. There some comic moments, such as the showing of Holly's bro Declan movie about the girls night out in club. The closeness between brothers and sister despite their vast personality differences, actually mirrors reality in which many of us who have bro and sis face. The friendship between friends are shown by Holly, Sharon and Denise, how the crack a joke with other and forgave each other after arguments.

Despite this I still feel the intense fondness between Gerry and Holly, through the letters, it is as though Gerry is speaking to Holly. In many ways it is guiding her to a new life without him. So most probably the main theme for this book is moving on after a person's death. The book shows us that is very hard, as displayed by Holly. No doubt that she shows an though outward appearence, but she is actually crumbling inside. So the lesson, never say forgetting a person is hard. Though the book shows a example of a loss of a spouse, Holly could be anyone of us, those who loss a dear one. Such as a father, mother, sibling, close friends or relatives or even your husband or wive, or your girlfriend/boyfriend. The book do show some touching moments that really shed a tear in one's eye. So if u you love struck people have nothing to do for these few days, go and read. don't forget to wish your loved one I love You ..hehe.

BORED !!!!...let me repeat BORED !!!!

OK, OK, this post is just to kill time. It has been only 3 days into my semester break, and it seems that, boredom has start to set in. ALONE !!!!!!

How I wish that people would listen to me. But they just don't. Its the 2nd time this stupid feeling has happen, this depression. I feel like nobody cares about me. Friends and family are just word that has no value to me now. I wish it could all go away. This sad stuff always happens to me, things just don't go my way. Friends are closer to each other than me. I felt ignored and alone. Why ?, I used to wonder, but the question still remained unanswered. Is it that they are not right for me. I just don't know. Well I hope somebody is out there warm and kind, cause I'm all ALONE !!

Alone in a crowded Room....

This weekend has thought me the meaning of the phrase "alone in a crowded room". I know that nobody will ever read this, however it is my outlet from the harshness of life. To, that phrase, I've felt what it is to be alone in a crowded room.
Imagine seating in a car, where half of the time you don't understand what the conversation is about. You fell as though that they look down on you. Yes, that is what I've felt in recent times. The distant of good friends. Showing closeness in public is pure bullshit. Most people would think that my friends are close but sadly we're not, I feel that the closeness between friends does not extend to me. "Aiyo why you so slow one !. We already finish at 9.30 adi.". Regardless friends are rare find, however they cut you people still love roses. Really good friends are like a speck of dust in the flow of time. Harder still are those that stay with you for eternity.
I've got to stop pretending that I've got plenty of friends, in fact I've got only a hand full. Haha, this is what I would say to myself when friends start to comment on me. They do not know that such comments actually hurt me. Well if they think their better than me, let them be, its their life.
Well this alienation extends to my family to. I still feel that my parents love ,y bro and sis much more than me. However I don't blame them, as I've been branded BAD. Who would have though or had foreseen this, I didn't.
So, in the end I feel that I'm all alone, well I hope that it'll thoughen me up as to not to ask for help from those who alienated me. Well to those 0.001 % who actually read this I thank you very much. In the end its all my fault.

What I like ?

What I like?
I like the smell of fresh air,
After hard days work,
When I'm free and flying.

I like the sound of joy,
Of friend's laughter,
Of comforting words,
That warms the coldest soul.

What I like ?
What I like ?

I like taste of happiness,
Of triumph,
After the sourish down,
and millions taste of life.

I like the touch of hope,
As light as air,
But can lift your spirit up,
If your low in life.

What I like?

I like the sight of peace,
Of company of people,
That you love and care,
That is you who is reading.

EXAMS !!! EXAMS !!!

Hey 'll its the time again....
Its the time of the year where I've got to study for exams. Regardless of all the bads 'bout exams, its still kinda fun to seat at a cold stressfull hall, filled with anxiety and suspens of what question may appear. It still feels lonely in the seas of people. The competition that drives our natural instinct to be the best and nothing but the best will soon force many to study by burn' the midnight oil. Haha.. I've got 6 subjects this sem'. T're English, B.Malaysia, Quantitative Studies, Acc., Macroeconomics, and of course Business Info' Sys' and Appli'. 13 weeks of studies with just 2 hours to prove that u got what it takes to stomp that 50 passing mark..hehe.

Well I hope that the best may turn out and sail this storm with a breeze...I
Well good luck ya'

A journey of life

Life is like a journey,
A journey of the seas,
That is only once in a life span,
Only once for us.

From a port that is mortal,
to another of the immortal,
The ship to board is the same.
Where it takes us depends on us.

The captain is I,
for where we steer is where we go,
For cold winds will misguide us,
Tempt us into rich mirages.

For our guide is a single star,
to find the one port,
But hard to follow that one true star,
As many fail to do so.

But at last,
when we find the port,
We're sure of its riches,
Of such places.
